Tadesse Meskela is on a mission. He has seen worldwide coffee sales grow from $30 billion to $80 billion since 1990 – seemingly good news for the 75,000 coffee farmers he represents in his native Ethiopia. So why are they and their families starving? Nick and Marc Francis’ explosive doc shows what a devastatingly unfair place the world has become, where screaming men on the floor of the stock exchange set prices that are bound to keep African farmers in poverty. They follow Meskela to London and Seattle as he tries to find buyers willing to pay a fair price for Ethiopian coffee - a couple of pennies more per kilo is all he asks, but will buyers listen?
