Susanne Biermann studied german, french and comparative literature in Munich and Paris. Since 1991, with the start of Arte, the European Culture Channel based in Strasbourg (France), she has been commissioning editor of documentaries (culture, current affairs, society, history) at Arte Thema and responsible for the development and production of theme evenings.
