Overview
Doc/Fest is the UK's premiere documentary film festival and is known as the best place to launch a new doc to an audience of international decision makers, film professionals and public. The 2007 film programme contained over 100 different titles, featuring 31 World Premieres, 9 International Premieres, 5 European Premieres and 28 UK Premieres. Of the films screened 54 where UK produced (including 10 student films) Films where viewed by over 1000 delegates as well as thousands of members of the general public.
A large proportion of the film programme’s official selection is made up of unsolicited entries. Filmmakers from around the world are invited to enter feature length, medium and short documentaries produced in 2007/2008 for this year’s festival.
The deadline for entries was 30 June 2008. Film Submissions are now closed for 2008.
Films can also be entered for Doc/Fest’s Videotheque. Now fully digitised, this viewing library is used by the festival’s industry delegates only including television programme buyers, distributors, sales agents and festival programmers. Doc/Fest’s Videotheque has been designed to speed up and simplify viewing and selection for decision-makers to maximise your film’s chances of future screnings. All offical selections will automatically be included in the Videotheque at no extra cost. All other films may be included in the Videotheque for an entry and administration fee of £60 + VAT
