Sheffield Doc/Fest are delighted to welcome Mary Burke, Senior Production & Development Executive at the British Film Institute, to the Festival's Board of Directors. With a wealth of production experience across film, television and multi-platform projects, Mary has built an outstanding creative network of contacts across the UK and internationally and enjoys close relationships with some of the UK’s most exciting directors. A recipient of two BAFTAs and two BIFAs, Mary’s producer credits include Bunny and the Bull, Submarine, For Those in Peril, Berberian Sound Studio, and A Complete History of My Sexual Failures. Her most recent production credits include God's Own Country directed by Francis Lee (winner of directing award at Sundance 2017, Panaroma section in Berlin), last year’s festival hit The Confession by Ashish Ghadiali and upcoming documentaries Fly Away by Lucy Cohen and Daisy Asquith’s Queerama as Executive Producer at the BFI.
