Author, journalist, explorer and presenter Simon Reeve throws light on his remarkable career, which has taken him around the world and through various danger zones.

Simon Reeve, whose latest series Wilderness was the highest rating BBC Two series since the end of 2022, discusses his global travels, during which he’s made more than 80 films for the BBC in around 120 different countries. In conversation with BBC commissioner Jack Bootle, Simon will show his travelogue/adventure format has evolved during his career. By focusing on the lives of the people he meets on his journeys, Simon has shown he can bring important environmental, political, and social issues to a broad mainstream audience. With the challenges the world currently faces, it has never been more important to frame these issues within a global context – at the same time as showing how amazing and beautiful our planet still is.
