StitchNBitch Editors collective presents a candid case study of one production trialling on-the-job editor training; covering process, finances, and what it means for future productions.

A growing industry need to develop editorial talent for high-end productions – felt across streamers, broadcasters and production companies – has led Netflix to take a closer look at how new editors progress into lead roles. This panel brings together the team behind a real production where a foundational model was put into practice. Peter Beard, Co-founder and Co-Creative Director of Story Films, shares the commissioning and production perspective, from initial concerns through to how it played out in delivery. He’s joined by lead editor Tom Dixon-Spain and emerging editor Acelya Kancelik to discuss how it worked in practice and what others can take from it. Moderated by Zeb Achonu (Editor) and presented by the StitchNBitch Editors Collective.
