The team behind the BBC Documentary series 'The Mother of All Cons' discuss how it evolved from the hit BBC Sounds Podcast 'Believe in Magic'.
Executive Producers Jonathan Smith and Georgia Moseley, Series Director Luned Tonderai and Producer/Director Ruth Mayer discuss how they turned hit podcast Believe In Magic into a limited series documentary. The Mother Of All Cons tells the story of Meg and Jean - a teenager with a brain tumour and her mother. They set up 'Believe in Magic', a charity for sick children, which brings fairytales to life and soon they win the celeb-backing of One Direction. But when Jean asks for money towards Meg’s own medical treatment some parents start to smell a rat. As their investigation unfolds, it leads them to a series of shocking discoveries, darker then they’d ever expected.
