Podcasts with Impact

This discussion will explore the potential for applying impact production approaches to podcasts to help create meaningful change, with case studies and practical tips.

Impact production has long been embedded in the documentary world, yet its potential reaches much further. This session will examine the opportunities – as well as some of the challenges – involved in developing impact campaigns for podcasts as a tool for driving change. Award-winning Impact Strategist and Producer Khadidja Benouataf, President and Co-founder of Impact Social Club, and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Global Impact Producers Alliance (GIPA), will be joined by Impact Strategist Marcela Lizcano, Founder of Nodo Sur and Viceversa Cine, and artist Fran Panetta, Director of the AKO Storytelling Institute. They will discuss this emerging field, drawing on two case studies: Radio Savia and Black Earth Podcast.
