Experience a captivating journey through Italy's history with this collection of rare Historical Luce Archive shorts, beautifully reimagined with vivid color and evocative, contemporary musical scores.

This special selection of 10 short films from Historical Luce Archive is presented in an entirely new light. Each film has been curated to showcase the vibrancy of the past, now paired with an original, bespoke score specifically composed by Coca Puma. This innovative soundscape breathes new life into the historical footage, transforming these cultural artifacts into a powerful, multisensory experience. Following the screening, we invite you to join a panel discussion with the archive professionals. Together, they will explore the creative process behind this reimagining and debate the evolving future of archival presentation, questioning how we can keep historical narratives both relevant and accessible for modern, global audiences.

The screening will be followed by a conversation around creative ways to showcase archives with:
Enrico Bufalini, Historical Archive Director
Simon McCallum, BFI National Archive
Cecilia Spano, Cinecittà
