Join us to make a fabulous flamingo, a leaping leopard or a beautiful butterfly (or any other animal!) in anticipation of the Wild Futures: Mini parade.

To celebrate the GEN Docs' inaugural year as part of the Wild Futures strand, we invite you to take part in creating your own mini animal as we prepare for the Wild Futures: Mini Lantern Parade. To take place on 13 June 2026 at Tudor Square.

Join Jo Veal, our resident lantern-making expert, for a morning of craft and creativity as part of our GEN DocFest programme.

Workshops usually relate to a community event, such as lantern processions, puppet parades, flower installations and more.
They are hugely inspired by the natural world, creating giant flowers, goat puppets, giant animals and more, and use recycled and natural materials as much as possible.

You can see more of her work on social media:www.instagram.com/joveal_art/

Children should be accompanied by adults. Early booking is advised.
