On an idyllic Georgia farm, young Black parents share their love of beekeeping, nature and life itself with their sons as they rebuild their family's connection to the land.

Winner of a Sundance Short Film Jury Award, The Boys and the Bees hums, buzzes and throbs with quiet life in flux. Landscapes shift, boys grow, bees are tended, animals die and new ones come to nest. On the surface, a child finds the courage to approach a hive. Beneath it, a family reclaims a relationship with nature that history tried to sever. Beautifully shot and unhurried in its pace, it is a tender portrait of inheritance: what fathers pass to sons, and what a patch of earth can hold.
