La Sed del viento
In Colombia's La Guajira desert, three Wayuu guardians fight corporate powers exploiting their ancestral land, as green energy projects and a vital reservoir serve everyone but them.
A reservoir promised to bring clean water has been diverted to service a polluting mine. Wind farms sold as green energy were erected without consent on sacred burial grounds. The Wind's Thirst follows Tita as she sees through the wind companies' promises to protect her ancestral territory. Misael fights for the Bruno River, now reduced to a ghost of itself, guided by dreams that speak in water and warning. Jazmine, fierce with grief, battles for Wayuu women and for stolen futures. Together they confront government, mining corporations and energy companies to protect their contaminated water, their spiritual connections with their ancestors, and their right to simply remain. Their defiance becomes a vow: they will not disappear.
