Industry Passholder - FAQ

Key-Art

We cannot wait to welcome you to Sheffield DocFest for its 31st edition. This year, we have made some changes to the ticket booking process.

Booking your in-person tickets online with your Industry Pass

Industry Passholders must book tickets on the Sheffield DocFest website by accessing their MyTickets account, please use the same email address and password you use when completing your registration. In order to book tickets, you must log into MyTickets rather than accessing your Industry account.

I don’t know my email address for my MyTickets account
This is the same email address that you registered your Industry Pass with, and that you have received all DocFest communications from about your registration. If you are unsure about this email - please contact registration[at]sheffdocfest.com

I don’t know my password for my MyTickets account
When an account is automatically generated you will be invited to make a password. If you can’t remember your password, reset it here: https://tickets.sheffdocfest.com/forgot

I haven’t received my Industry Pass - but I have already registered
If you are attending the festival in person, please visit the Delegate Centre or contact registration[at]sheffdocfest.com

There are still tickets available for a show, but I am unable to reserve a ticket with my Industry Pass.
Sheffield DocFest has both public and industry audiences. If this message appears, this means that the industry allocation has been used up. If there are public tickets available to buy, this means there is a chance that you will be able to get in by the standby queue. These are operated on a first come first served basis so entry cannot be guaranteed.

I am trying to book a ticket but the system is asking for me to pay.
If the system is asking you to pay, you are trying to book a public ticket. If you can only see public tickets you may not be logged in. In order to book an industry ticket on the doc fest website, you need to be logged in to your my tickets account. Check you are logged in to MytTckets, then go to book tickets, you should then be able to book an Industry ticket with your pass.

I have tried to book a ticket and I get the following message: ‘[your pass] cannot be used: This pass may only be used less than 2 days before the event start time’
Reservations open exactly 48 hours before the event start time. For example if a screening starts at 18.15 on Saturday 25th of June, tickets will be available to book from 18.15 on Thursday 23rd June. if you can not yet book a ticket, it is because it is not within the 48 window, check back later to book your ticket.

I have a one day pass and I can’t book a ticket
Check the event is taking place on the day of your one day pass. One day passes do not give access to the online festival.

I want to book a ticket for an industry talk
There are no reservations for industry talks. Entry to these events is operating on a first come first served basis.

I have an industry pass and I want to transfer my ticket
Unfortunately, with an industry festival pass you are unable to transfer tickets. Any further questions direct to Box Office.

I am no longer able to attend the festival - can I refund my pass?
Requests for Festival Pass refunds must be received by midday on Monday 20th June 2022. After this deadline refunds will only be issued in extreme circumstances, at our discretion. Requests for refunds must be received in writing via email to: registration[at]sheffdocfest.com. Please put the following in your subject header: Festival Pass – Refund Request and include your full name in the email.

I have lost my festival pass - what should I do?
You will need a festival pass to get into events. In order to replace your pass, please go to the delegate centre (The Workstation, 15 Paternoster Row, Sheffield, S1 2BX) for a replacement pass. Please note, there is a lost pass fee of £30 + VAT, which must be paid at the Registration Desk by debit or credit card. You will be required to present a photo ID to have your lost Festival Pass replaced.

Stand by Queue information
Tickets are required to access Film Screenings and Talks and will be released for Industry Pass holders to reserve 48 hours before the event start time. If tickets are unavailable, Industry Pass holders can join stand-by queues at the venue in case of no-shows.

Due to high demand, if you are not in your seat 5 minutes before the event start time, your ticket may be forfeited and reallocated to the standby queue. For all other Industry events (Industry Sessions, Pitches, Socials & Parties), advance tickets are not required; simply show your pass at the door to gain entry. In all cases, ticket availability and entry to industry events is subject to capacity on a first come, first served basis.
