The Scottish Delegation of producers, filmmakers and financiers come to Sheffield to connect with audiences and the industry, and to promote their films and Scotland as a first-class place for documentary filmmaking. Screen Scotland is the globally renowned national body driving development of all aspects of Scotland’s film and TV industry, through funding and strategic support. Scottish Documentary Institute champions the independent documentary field in Scotland and beyond.

IGNITE-Docs Documentary Talent Development Programme Delegation
Coordinated by Cork International Film Festival & Docs Ireland
IGNITE-Docs is a talent development programme for emerging Irish and Northern Irish documentary filmmakers embarking on their first or second non-fiction feature film. The programme is a cross-border partnership that aims to foster a new generation of documentary filmmakers. It is a collaboration between Cork International Film Festival and Docs Ireland.

An experienced and enthusiastic delegation of producers and filmmakers is excited to attend Sheffield DocFest this year to connect with industry representatives, colleagues and friends from around the globe.

Palestinian Delegation
Coordinated by the Palestinian Film Institute
Amid the ongoing struggle to preserve the Palestinian narrative, the Palestine Film Institute (PFI) emphasizes the importance of supporting Palestinian cinema on international platforms. In collaboration with Sheffield DocFest, through the Palestine Showcase, PFI presents three feature documentaries in progress, providing filmmakers and producers with a unique opportunity to share their work with decision-makers and festival programmers in the film industry, creating a space for them to engage with the global film community, and amplifying Palestinian voices.

Unifrance Delegation
Coordinated by Unifrance
Unifrance is the non-profit organization responsible for promoting French cinema and television content worldwide. It supports the international export of French films and TV programmes through a strong presence at major festivals and markets, and by assisting French professionals across the industry. Unifrance has also developed dedicated support for documentary filmmaking. As part of this commitment, it is sponsoring a delegation of French producers with projects in development to attend Sheffield DocFest, identified as a key hub for coproduction and international networking in the documentary field.

New Generation Europe Foundation Delegation
Coordinated by the New Generation Europe Foundation
The New Generation Europe Foundation’s Films Programme supports filmmakers committed to telling stories that illuminate social issues, challenge perceptions, and provide a window into the realities that often go unnoticed, with a particular focus on Russia. Our delegation brings together filmmakers in exile who are focused on resisting Russian authoritarianism through storytelling and offering an alternative vision for Russia’s future, despite facing censorship and surveillance.

Chicken & Egg Films Delegation

Chicken & Egg Films champions women and gender-expansive documentary filmmakers around the globe with funding, mentorship, and access so they can tell stories that ignite change. In celebration of its 20th year, the Chicken & Egg Films’ delegation of filmmakers from around the world will showcase their work-in-progress films to peers and industry representatives on the international stage.

Iraqi Delegation
Coordinated by the Iraqi Film Institute
The Iraqi Film Institute (IFI) is pleased to welcome filmmakers to Sheffield DocFest as part of the Iraqi delegation to connect with audiences and industry. The main aim of the IFI is to provide Iraqi filmmakers with a mechanism of support from training to the development of film projects, through production, promotion and distribution of Iraqi films with particular emphasis on international co-productions.
