Imagine missing out on a festival because of travel costs or feeling "it's not for you". Our From Door to Doc fundraising programme changes that.
This community initiative creates accessible pathways to Sheffield DocFest for people who might otherwise be unable to attend. We remove barriers like travel expenses, ticket costs, and the feeling that cultural events aren’t “for them.”
Our From Door to Doc fundraising programme, which this year celebrates its 10 year anniversary, provides free cinema tickets to festival screenings and tours of our Alternate Realities exhibitions, transport to and from participants’ homes or community centres, and refreshments.
Open to everyone across South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire, From Door to Doc especially seeks to connect with communities facing barriers to arts and culture. We celebrate the rich diversity of our region by ensuring everyone can discover powerful stories, build confidence, create conversations, and meet new people.
With your support, we aim to welcome up to 200 participants, many attending Sheffield DocFest for the first time.
Join us in making Sheffield DocFest accessible to all. Support From Door to Doc today by donating to our fundraiser, sharing, or spreading the word.
