Tickets are available online through this website or the Sheffield DocFest app, in-person from 1 June at the Showroom Cinema between 12pm and 6pm Monday to Friday as well as at participating venues during the festival (see below).

DocLover ticket bundles give the best value for accessing multiple film screenings* and can be shared with friends and family (up to 4 tickets per screening).

*DocLovers can be used for all film screenings in our public programme except Heaven 17: The Last Temptation at the Lyceum
Access & Affordability
Concessions are available to under 16s (for GEN DocFest events), claimants, full-time students, over 60s and Blue Light Card holders. We also offer a limited number of DocsForAll tickets, priced at just £3 (+booking fee), intended for those who may not be able to afford a full price ticket.
We operate these concession tickets on a trust basis and do not ask for proof of status.
Complimentary tickets, including wheelchair companion seats, are available for Personal Assistants, Carers or Sign Language Interpreters attending with someone who is in receipt of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or holds a CEA Card or international equivalent. Please book your own ticket as normal then email boxoffice@sheffdocfest.com with proof of DLA or CEA Card to request your complimentary companion ticket.
All festival venues are wheelchair accessible but wheelchair spaces are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.
Are you aged 16–25? Register to join our free GEN Doc scheme, and access discounted tickets priced at £6 for cinema screenings and £10 for special talks and screenings at the Lyceum Theatre. Click below for more information and to register for the scheme.
We offer a range of access provisions across the programme including British Sign Language interpretation, descriptive subtitles, live captions, relaxed screenings and audio description. For more information and to view up-to-date details on all these services please click below.

Starting 1 June, we’ll have a physical box office in Showroom Cinema before the festival begins. It will be open 12pm to 6pm Monday to Friday.

Age Ratings
Films will be presented as Unclassified 18+ unless they have received a lower age rating by the BBFC or local authority. Talks are 16+ unless otherwise stated.
