Nobody likes saying goodbye, but alas it’s that time, your last chance to make those connections you hadn’t had the courage to make before, and dance the night away as we celebrate another year of DocFest.

We are delighted to be joined by Katerina Cizek, Artistic Director, Research Scientist and Co-Founder Co-Creation Studio, who will give a keynote presentation outlining the practices and philosophies of co-creation, according to the studio’s manifesto.

This session will discuss some of the issues the editing sector currently faces and how to ensure we have a resilient future workforce equipped to deal with the difficult topics that documentaries often present.

During this craft summit session, we will showcase cinematographers on the rise, including those whose work features in this year's festival programme.

Award winning composer and sound designer Nainita Desai will join us to discuss her career and experiences scoring for documentaries such as the award-winning For Sama. 

Having produced, directed, written and edited the film Moonage Daydream, Brett Morgen will discuss the art of navigating between roles to achieve his unique creative vision.

Asif Kapadia will participate in a conversation with frequent collaborator, editor Chris King.

StoryTrails Executive Producer David Olusoga will launch this project at Sheffield DocFest before it begins a UK wide summer tour, and he will be joined by local StoryTrails creatives to preview the UK’s largest immersive storytelling project to date.
